Individuals
I work primarily with artists, performers, and creatives, but warmly welcome clients from all walks of life. I also have specialized experience supporting adults across the LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as people exploring their possible connections to those identities.
The work I do often centers on surfacing the questions underneath the day-to-day: identity, sexuality, and a sense of one's place in the world; the patterns that keep repeating across relationships and family; healing from past and present trauma; anxiety and depression; and work and life transitions.
My approach is depth-oriented and multidisciplinary, drawing primarily on existential and psychodynamic therapy, alongside somatics, energy work, IFS, and art and music therapy.
My practice is welcoming and affirming; in sessions, I strive to create a safe place to talk through what's important to clients, and to help them understand and move through the challenges in their lives.
Couples
I offer psychotherapy for couples and intimate partners, embracing diverse relationship styles and identities, including those exploring nontraditional relationship structures.
Therapy is a good way for partners to strengthen their alliance, work through communication problems, and nurture a connection that supports each other. Sometimes, that also includes working through the pain and shifting expectations of ending a relationship in a kinder, more amicable way.
Beyond the tools I use in individual therapy, my work with couples is particularly informed by Gottman, EFT, and Imago approaches.
